Our clients talk...

“I have worked with in the Works PR since 2012. In this time, they have created a significant social media presence for my company. Their help has been invaluable in instigating and delivering the various competitions, promotions and dealing with the many enquiries we get every week through social channels. We also allocate and spend time every month writing a newsletter for our internet customers and articles for Northern Tea Merchants’ website, which has increased our rankings in the search engines substantially. On a PR front, both Anna and Emma have been an invaluable support in Northern Tea Merchants’ success at local business award ceremonies, and gaining media coverage for the business, as well as always recommending Northern Tea Merchants to people they meet in the course of their work. I have no hesitation in recommending In the Works PR to any company looking to grow their online presence and to raise the public profile of their business.”
James Pogson
Once In the Works PR became involved with our media relations the press take up was incredible. The media coverage Anna has achieved for Benchmarc consultancy has resulted in new business leads which have by far exceeded our expectations. We cannot recommend In the Works PR’s services enough.

Anna Melton is the best PR I've worked with. Nothing is too much, no request too last minute. She's always contactable, full of useful ideas and she knows everyone in Chesterfield. If only they all 'got it' like her.
David Walsh
Business Editor / Sheffield Star
Charley has been so inspired by the Basic Media Skills workshop that she has already entered the world of local media and by using her new skills has been in contact with her local newspaper. Following a well written press release, the local paper is due to send a photographer down with the aim of writing a feature.

Since In the Works PR began sending an eNewsletter to our candidates and clients, the level of traffic to our website has far exceeded that which Google Adwords has generated. It currently accounts for more than 10% of page views on the PK education website. It’s is a fantastic way for us to engage with our audience. It really works for us.

Anna Melton, director of In the Works PR

Anna Melton

Anna is the director of In the Works PR. Slice Anna in half and it may well say Public Relations. She has been in the industry for more than 20 years, working with international, national and local brands to maximise awareness of them in print, online and broadcast media. Anna can spot a media opportunity (or potential threat) at 100 paces and she can advise accordingly to make sure it is handled in the best way possible. She also has a Blue Peter badge so is officially a good egg!

Q&A with Anna

I'm happiest when...

I’m at work. Seriously! The alternative is being at home refereeing two small boys who seem intent on ensuring each other end up in A&E.

My children like...

Not eating anything that is good for them and destroying the house.

If I could be anywhere in the world I’d be…

In Sydney, Australia. I love that city. I’m quite partial to the country as well, in spite of it being home to the world’s most deadly animals. I can overlook that for the sun, barbies, beaches, great friends of mine and laid back vibe it has. Chesterfield is a close second though – my chosen home since 1999.

Q&A with Emma

I'm happiest when...

I am in the sunshine surrounded by friends, drinking, eating and laughing!

My cat likes...

Eating steak, my dressing gown and having his belly and chin rubbed! He is one pampered kitty!

If I could be anywhere in the world I’d be…

Exploring Thailand! I cannot wait to return to this beautiful country - I love the delicious food, the people are so wonderfully friendly and the weather is perfectly warm. We experienced so much whilst in Thailand, the craziness of Bangkok (including tuk tuks!), the stunning temples, beautiful deserted beaches and stunning scenery, but I still want to see more!

With his interest in journalism and social media, it's fair to say that this is Joe’s dream job.

Q&A with Joe

I'm happiest when...

I am at Bramall Lane watching the football (if it isn’t too painful to watch). I love watching Sheffield United play and cheer them on every Saturday.

My dog likes...

Going to big open spaces such as parks and fields and sprinting around crazily. However, when he’s home he is the complete opposite and sleeps for most of the day.

If I could be anywhere in the world I’d be…

In Madrid looking at the amazing sights and buildings or watching Real Madrid play at the Santiago Bernabeu. It is the most relaxing place in all of Spain whilst still being packed with things to do. You never get bored in Madrid!
