Peak FM's Cat re-enacting the scene from Friends with Laura Jo, owner of Adorn Jewllers
Once again, In the Works PR is delighted to support the Chesterfield Retail Awards, organised by client Destination Chesterfield. Returning for the third year, we are sponsoring the Fashion and Footwear Retailer of the Year category.
Last year’s winner, Blanc is hoping to retain the coveted title, however is up against alternative clothing boutique Badger and first time nominee Peter’s Shoemakers and Outfitters.
Fellow Chesterfield Champions and client Mitchells Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers are also sponsors of the 2016 Retail Award, proudly sponsoring the Phones and Technology Retailer of the Year category.
It’s always a great event and we’re hoping to have cause for our own celebration on the night as client Northern tea Merchants has been shortlisted in Food and Drink Retailer of the Year category.
Organised in association with Chesterfield College, the winners will be announced on Wednesday 25 May by the new Peak FM breakfast duo Stu and Cat at a special award ceremony held at Chesterfield’s Winding Wheel.
As Cat, the new Peak FM breakfast show, is new to the area we invited to meet some of this year’s shortlisted retailers. We spent time with Ibbotson’s Fresh Quality Produce, Straightcurves and Adorn Jewellers. We had great fun re-enacting the scene from a episode of Friends called ‘The one with the ring’ at Adorn. It was while we ‘adorned’ Cat in jewels, that Adorn owner Laura Jo Owens confessed that that very episode of Friends was the inspiration behind the business’ name.
One day,we’ll confess how In the Works PR got its name.
